7:30pm meeting at North Seattle Community College Mark Schrader, captain of the 64’ cutter SV Ocean Watch, will be giving a slide presentation and documenting their 25,000 mile sailing circumnavigation of the American continents. The expedition has raised awareness of ocean health issues such as polar ice melt, coral reef health, ocean acidification, collapsing fisheries, ocean debris and pollution and changing sea levels and coastal erosion. This will be a very interesting evening that you don’t want to miss. |
